The second short training course of AquaEtreat was on the improvement and innovation of aquaculture effluent treatment technology for freshwater flowthrough systems and was held within the context of the Interprofessional Aquaculture Conference in Lyon (France) held on 28-29 September 2006 at the Lyon Conference Centre. The Training Course was for registered participants on the 29th-30th September, where the second day (30th) was an on-site 'hands-on' session at the Charles Murgat Fish Farm. The Murgat farm produces a wide variety of trout and freshwater salmonid species.
The aim of the course was to introduce the representatives of European National Aquaculture Associations to the theoretical and practical nature of the systems developed for effluent treatment and waste management in fresh water aquaculture. The course provided a top-down approach that also encouraged other members of the profession to participate and invest in the systems proposed.
The detailed programme is available in the PDF download file (on right menu bar).
